The Norcross Co-op is excited to announce they will be partnering with neighboring churches and community organizations to host the very first Merry Market shopping event serving more than 800 co-op families. The shopping events will be held on December 8 and 15, 2018, at the Peachtree Corners Baptist Church and the Norcross First United Methodist Church.
The Merry Market provides the opportunity for parents and guardians of children-in-need to shop and select gifts for their families at Christmas time. Last year, the Norcross Co-Op annual gift giving programs supplied more than 2,000 children with toys and clothing, and more than 800 community volunteers donated their time.
This year’s sponsors and community partners include Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, Norcross First United Methodist Church, Simpsonwood United Methodist Church, Perimeter Church, Johns Creek Baptist Church, Johns Creek United Methodist Church, Robert D Fowler YMCA, and many others.
Here’s how you can spread JOY this Christmas season to our neighbors in need:
DONATE OR SPONSOR A TOY DRIVE: New toys, sweatshirts or hoodies for children of all ages and $25 gift cards to Target and Wal-Mart. Items can be dropped at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church between November 26 – December 7 or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a pick or order online: https://tinyurl.com/shopMerryMkt
VOLUNTEER: Volunteers may sign up by visiting https://tinyurl.com/MerryMkt There are many activities between December 4th through 15th that include toy sorting, set-up and Merry Market events. This is a great way for our students to earn community service hours and serve other during the holidays. Some activities have age restrictions.
