If you haven’t made plans to attend MomoCon, you probably should. This year, MomoCon is having its first official charity partnership in support of the Boys and Girls Club Georgia Alliance (BGCGA).

All the charity events at MomoCon during the weekend will go towards helping the 501st Star Wars children’s charity as well as the Girls and Boys Clubs charity affiliation. They will be hosting various activities and sing-alongs. There will also be a unique pin at the MomoCon merchandise booth you can buy to show your support. MomoCon will also give a bonus from their profits to support the two organizations. If you want to support this charity initiative, attend the events and contribute. You can also purchase merchandise or visit the 501st in the exhibit lobby all weekend long.

About the Boys and Girls Club Georgia Alliance

BGCGA has more than 139 clubs across Georgia. They have 8,000 volunteers serving over 75,000 kids. Most of the clubs are in the rural areas, where funding is limited, yet there is more need for meal services, sports camps, mentoring, and shelter. The event will feature the “shop with a trooper” program that will enable the 501st Georgia Garrison to make appearances in a bid to get enough funding to support the BGCGA clubs and events throughout 2018. The money raised at MomoCon will go towards helping BGCGA’s ongoing efforts. MomoCon will also gift achieving club members with a special holiday experience with Star Wars characters.
