Our guests this week, Thursday, August 18, 2016 will be Peachtree Corners residents that lead the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association – Sherry Ferguson and Gray Terry.
Since 2012, Sherry has served on the UPCCA Board of Directors as Secretary and Vice President of Programs. She is a native of Gwinnett County having graduated from Duluth High School. After high school, Sherry attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Sherry also holds a Master’s of Education in counseling and guidance from the University of West Georgia, and an Education Specialist Degree in school counseling from the University of Georgia. Sherry has lived in Peachtree Corners since 2003 and is currently employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools as a professional school counselor.
In her free time, Sherry enjoys serving as the president of the Dartha B. Ferguson Foundation, cheering on The University of Georgia in all sports, especially football, and is activity involved in her church. Sherry is honored to serve the citizens of Peachtree Corners as UPCCA’s 2016 President.
Vice President, UPCCA
Gray Terry has been a resident of Peachtree Corners since 1989. He is married to Sharon, who is a Kindergarten Teacher at Simpson Elementary since the school opened in 1993. Gray is a Business Analyst/Privacy Compliance Officer with the Global Philips Healthcare Division. In addition, he is a Certified Arbitrator/Mediator with the State of Georgia and the Gwinnett County Jurisdiction.
The Terry’s have 3 sons, Trey (Georgia Tech Graduate), Alan (UGA Graduate ) and Drew (Georgia Perimeter Sophomore), and all graduates of Norcross High School. The family are members of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church since 1991. They are residents in the Amberfield Subdivision and Member of the Fields Club.
