There is an opportunity for parents of new teen drivers to attend a safe driving course that will be offered here in our community for the very first time.
Simpsonwood United Methodist Church is sponsoring a class on Friday, September 11th featuring Fear This, Inc., a well regarded non-profit driving program.
This program provides behind-the-wheel driving exercises as well as class room training. All of the instructors are “Academy Trained Gwinnett County Police Officers.” Debbie Mason of United Peachtree Corners Civic Association, who has personally attended the course with both of her teenaged boys several years ago and said she, “can’t say enough great things about it.”
The class is Friday, September 11th at 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm for the classroom portion of the course. The behind-the-wheel portion of the course will be on September 12th at Year One, 1001 Cherry Drive, Braselton, GA 30517.
Pre-registration is required; both teen and parent will be issued a completion certificate for possible insurance discounts. This course can be a life-saving gift you give to your teen, especially before they head off to college and deal with driving the interstates and two-lane country roads.
