To Our Valued Customers:

The May 3rd-initiated recall of frozen vegetables due to the potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes continues to expand. We have just been informed that it now includes all lot/date codes of Trader Joe’s Vegetable Fried Rice (SKU/Barcode 00521482) and Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice (SKU/Barcode 00332514).

All Vegetable Fried Rice (SKU/Barcode 00521482) and Chicken Fried Rice (SKU/Barcode 00332514) products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

If you purchased these products, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

From a recent email from Trader Joe’s dated 5/6/16

In relation to the frozen vegetable recall initiated on May 3rd, we were alerted by our supplier of Trader Joe’s Super Sweet Cut Corn (SKU/Barcode 00299633) that the following lot codes may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes:

6180 03247xx
6180 06287xx
6180 06297xx
6180 06307xx
6180 07137xx
6180 08117xx
6180 08127xx
6180 08137xx
(the xx is a placeholder for hours of production—all apply; any codes that start with the highlighted 9 digits are implicated in this recall)We have confirmed that Organic Super Sweet Cut Corn with the affected codes is not currently on our shelves. As it could still be in customers’ homes, we urge you to check your freezer for products with the affected codes; please do not eat them. You should discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

We have been alerted by one of our frozen vegetable suppliers that the following products, from any lot containing the code “BF” [e.g. 115 16 BF 22:58 C PRODUCT OF USA], may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes:

Trader Joe’s Organic Peas (SKU/Barcode 00496636)
Trader Joe’s Petite Peas (SKU/Barcode 00122689)
Trader Joe’s Organic Whole Green Beans (SKU/Barcode 00169219)
Trader Joe’s Organic Broccoli Florettes (SKU/Barcode 00542784)
Trader Joe’s Organic Foursome (SKU/Barcode 00908672)

Out of an abundance of caution, all products from this supplier were removed from store shelves.

If you purchased any of the affected frozen vegetables, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Products without the “BF” code come from different suppliers and are not part of this recall.
